I disagree with Mr. Obama on almost everything politically. But, he is a very smart man (and no fool). I do think he basically ignored a big chunk of this country from a "leadership" standpoint and that's big part of the reason Mr. Trump got elected. My opinion of Mr. Trump is evolving a bit. While I still think he's a thin-skinned bully (at best), I am starting to believe that in some ways he may be crazy like a fox. He is definitely trying to harness his reputation for unpredictability to our favor especially in international relations. We'll see if it works. I also think he's gong to find out that when you give voice to some of the ugliness he did during the campaign, it's difficult to put that Genie back in the bottle.
