They do not turn sideways when you post the same picture at Facebook? Strange.

it is not so much a glitch in the software here but the actual extra code that facebook uses to post the pictures the correct way because duffes like you cant take a picture straight!!! lol!!!!!

Most phones are set to take the picture in landscape, not portrait. Most phones have info i the header of the picture to indicate the was the picture was taken so the picture is always correct.

Why is it if the picture is straight when I load it and it shows up sideways here, why then if I rotate the picture sideways and upload it does it not show up straight?
This is weird.

Alright here's one that's "right" on my phone. I opened a photo app rotated it sideways and saved it. Then opened it back up in the app and flipped it back "right" and saved it again.
Let's see how it post?

So every picture I take I have to open it in an app, turn it sideways, save it, open it back up, and flip it back like it was originally and save it again and THEN it will post correctly?
That's just insane.

I've run into it myself. I read up on it a while back and if I remember correctly, it's an "Apple thing". I don't remember the details and a lot of the explanation was techie talk I didn't really understand, but there's an extra step in the software that SOME sites have that will post Apple photos correctly, others will not. I may be wrong (it's been a while), but if you Google it, there will be a ton of posts describing the same problem.

Cappy, my best advice other that get a phone with a real os (Android comes to mind) is for next time you find yourself in ''civilization :-)" either stop at an apple store, your cell carrier store or best buy and let one of them funny colored hair millennials set it up for you. It is like eating candy for them.
