and other cast iron aficionados.. been wanting a dimpled (hammered) Dutch Oven because my Grandma had one.. Been pestering a friend to sell me one she never uses but she's been dragging her feet. Today she presented me with the Dutch Oven filled with Christmas cookies and candy. Said she looked it over a couple days ago and noticed some rust. Said she thought, "This is dumb.. just as well be 'used'." Rust was just surface and it cleaned up easily. Scrubbed it with a steel scratcher and gave it a quick seasoning inside.. Cleaned up pretty well and will get better with use. Not highly collectible (88 Chicago Hardware Foundry) but it will make a nice "user" which is what I wanted.
