I'm actually pulling for the Cowboys to win this round. There is a lot to like about that team. I was pulling for the Raiders to go the distance but there no way to overcome losing your starting QB. They are good getting better though.
I really don't care for San Diego up and frigging moving. I've been to that stadium in San Diego, its frigging nice. Fuckem!

Rodgers is a dang Brady clone, if there is such a thing.....short crisp down and out completions to lull the safeties, then a couple of short completions over the middle, then BAM, with the deep bombs....he's a day'um good QB with some great receivers.

Congrats to the Packers and Rodgers.....two great QB performances.....I'm proud as can be for Dak....it might not be too evident, but Dak and Rodgers had nearly identical QB stats, tonite....not too bad for a rookie QB.....completed 24 of 38 for nearly 300 yds., 3 TD's, and ran in the 2 pt. conversion to tie the game.

You can hate the Cowboys all you want, but Dak played like a pro, all year long, and nobody can deny that.

I hear ya! You'd root for Landry Jones if you knew about him though. Good young man, good young wife, does things the right way. He was a good QB at Oklahoma but it just never seemed like he could pull the trigger in games. Awesome arm, good head on his shoulders. Trevor Knight was that way too when he was at OU. Both guys played within themselves to the point they never played much above average.
Of all the players who've gone to the NFL from OU, Jones really surprised me. He's matured as a backup to Big Ben and has gotten some playing time. Seems like the more he plays the better he gets.

i, too was once a Pats fan and look how great I turned out!

I only liked them because Chuck Fairbanks was their coach of course. He pretty much invented the 3-4 defenses that New England still uses to this day. Even old Belechik credits him for that.
That's quite a legacy.

Say what we want about NE but I think Belichick will go down as one of the best NFL coaches to exist. It ain't just because he had Brady. He's found ways to win with every conceivable kind of personnel challenge that could befall a coach and always found a way to not only deal with it, but win consistently and journey deep in the playoffs in most cases.

I think the are a couple of coaches that have out coached Lombardi in the modern game. I'd put John Madden in there with him. Madden has a better won loss percentage and record, but Lombardi won a lot of league championships and two Superbowls where Madden only has one SB ring. But given their circumstances I think Madden was just as resourceful and inspiring as Lombardi was.

Another was Don Shula. Infinitely better than both.
