I have a new neighbor as my old trusty fishing buddy and next door neighbor for 17 years deserted me and moved to Missouri. My new neighbors are Tulsa cops. The husband is a retired division commander and works some double dipping job down at city hall now and I think the wifey is still active duty. I've never met her yet. Maybe during swimsuit season I'll introduce myself by kicking a volleyball over from my pool to theirs.
Anyway, they have a sheperd and another sheperd mix looking dog. Both are young dogs and they both bark like there's no tomorrow. Me being a dog person, i figured they'd calm down once they got to know my dogs through the knotholes in the fence. But a month later and the effers still bark their fool heads off.
i just stepped outside and whistled and yelled 'Calm the fuck down!' and they calmed the fuck down for now. I had my old neighbors dogs trained so i could just give them a little whistle and they'd shut up if they were barking. Me being the old retired Gladys snoop, I keep a keen out when i hear dogs barking in our neighborhood But I know an alarm bark from a stupid sonofabitch bark and these two dogs are 100% stupid sonsofbitches.
I may have to have a talk with them soon. I sure hate to start a neighbor relationship that way though. He seems like a really nice guy.
