I had some does, about five of them, come up to me while I was sitting on the ground between a clump of three pine trees one time. They left and never even knew I was there despite coming right up andsniffing of my boot. When it happens you have to wonder what in the world they thought you were or how they missed you.

That was cool! I've had a similar encounter with a doe and also a black bear (NOT at the same time!), believe it or not. I'll work up a Thump story if I ever get time. I was in a tree stand once and a bird landed on my gun barrel, but flew off when I started laughing (I made no sound, but the barrel started shaking as I laughed). ;)
