A comment by someone on FB got me off on a tangent this morning. I know a lot of Goodhunters have read and Aldo Leopold's essays. John Burroughs is another American naturalist that I think you'll like if you haven't heard of him already. I'd recommend 'The Art of Seeing Things' as a good starting place. The guy was the original 'Noticer'. But he connects nature and common sense together in a way that I think you'll enjoy.
Big Sky will like his comparisons to the way people approach and see science and art.
Anyway, you can get his complete works on Kindle for three bucks. Its on Goodreads too.
