I'm currently down in sunny Florida for the Indycar Grand Prix of St. Pete. Really enjoying the weather compared to back home.

Well dang! You're an hour away. In fact, Lynn and I will be in Tampa all day Saturday. It's supposed to get up to 80-degrees on Saturday, so it may be a bit warm for you. ;)

The buddy of mine that I'm here with has a son that live in St. Pete so we've been getting treated well.

Going out on the bay for a bit on Saturday and spending quite a bit of time watching the race cars the rest of the time.

I've really been enjoying the weather. Nice to be able to wear shorts.

This weekend is shaping up better than I had expected. We got hooked up with all access credentials through a friend of a friend. There isn't anywhere we can't go and the best part is it was no charge.

Turns out the friend of the friend has a daughter and son-in-law who own a race team in the Pirelli World Challenge sports car series.

I hate burnt orange, but that's a cool benz. Except it ain't got no tars. Must've parked it on a St Pete street too long unattended.

The owner is from England so it ain't got no tyres

They qualified 8th and were three tenths of a second behind P1, so they stripped the car down completely to try to find something to get .3 seconds faster.

It was really cool watching them work on the car. It's all carbon fiber and you would not believe the ducting they have to the brakes to keep them from overheating.

That's the map AB. Part of the course is in the Albert Whitted Airport and the streets around it.

We got to spend this morning out on the water trying to catch some reds. Bad timing, right after the full moon and a very low tide. Every place we got set up within a few minutes a dolphin would swim through. Did bring a couple Jack Crevalles into the boat.
