My Mom has 18 in the house and the good Lord only knows how many feral cats she feeds on a daily basis. (She actually traps the feral ones and gets them fixed which I guess ads a sporting element to it.) She can afford them and they keep her company. So, I leave it alone for the most part. The hardest thing is that one of my kids and my wife are both highly allergic and I have mild allergies and it makes it difficult for us to spend much time there. I actually don't mind an outdoor cat other than my allergies.

That's how we usually end up with ours. We trap the feral cats and immediately have them spayed/neutered and get their shots. Of course we feed them and 99% of the time, they eventually morph from feral to tame "house cats".

I've got a good wife, i'm more likely to get laid for feeding them the right stuff
