Methinks more than a few of you will enjoy this. My 14 year old son decided he wanted to create his own version of a western scene type composition. This is entirely created from his imagination. How he does this without looking at a bunch of reference is beyond my skills and comprehension. However the scene does take me back to an enjoyable time in my life. Back then the most important decisions were what western to watch, and who got to play the good guy or bad guy while playing cowboys in the backyard.

If that boy doesn't want to go to school for art or animation or something related, you should slap him upside his head. His stuff is amazing.

Wow, he could do a wild west comic book!...or do some louis l'amour picture books for the deaf...
That boy is good...

I'd say the boy is better than his Dad :) He needs no reference material and what he creates comes from his creative mind. Just sayin'. I sure wouldn't mind being spanked by my kid. It's happened once or twice already!

Len when it comes to drawing from his imagination he's on a whole different level than me. I really don't know how his brain remembers all the perspective and details.

I have no idea how anyone can do this. I've always wanted to be able to draw. I swear the picture is perfect in my imagination its what comes out on paper that sucks.

I noticed it, chuckled, and moved on. (it IS funny)

Great pic! It must be genetic. Heck, I can't even draw a stick-man. :(

You're really slipping in your noticer status lately. Heck, now you don't even notice what YOU didn't notice, when you should have noticed. (huh?)

Back to the artwork...

It looks to me like it could be the opening sequence for a Tarantino western where the animated becomes the actual scene playing out.

It reminded me immediately of an old western movie poster.
