A friend of mine that has quite a number of videos that feature Montana hunting and fishing came out and fished with me a while back. I swore him to secrecy on this particular place, and he has honored our agreement. However, I hope you guys enjoy his video of this tiny slice of heaven here in Montana. He did all the video work and I did all the still photos. Together I think we have an enjoyable few minutes of paradise recorded. :)

It was a lot of fun and that place featured in the video is about as rare of a diamond as a guy can find in terms of fishing. It has it all. It's remote, hard to access, the fish are bigger than average for the species, and the location is just stunning. You feel like you can see the whole world from that little pond. I keep it's location in my ultra top secret file and rarely share that place except with close friends and family.

Curiosity question. What is the main forage of the trout in that pond? Do they eat crayfish or it it all bugs and sculpin amd the like?

Insects and minnows. Pretty limited on the minnows. I only ever see just a few. I think the brookies are pretty hard on them.
