Fawn wranglin'

My neighbor flagged me down this morning because as he opened the overhead door on his barn, a fawn ran in, got behind some stacked cardboard and laid down.

I managed to grab ahold of it and carry it out of the barn for him and send it on it's way back to the woods to find mama.

Hope the mother is around and they get back together.
My neighbor informed me, we have a new fawn here too.
She said it's so small, so Im guessing it was just born.
If I see it, Ill post pics.

The neighbor was really concerned that something had happened to mama and wanted to call a rehabilitationist or the DNR to take it. I had to convince him that it was healthy and mama was probably around somewhere and it would be ok. He would not have appreciated a "venison veal" comment.
