For you non-Facebook types, my older boy completed his Eagle Scout Project this weekend. A lot of planning, fundraising, paperwork and good old fashioned hard work went into getting this done. He really wanted to do something that would make a lasting impact and was very satisfied with how this turned out.

He had a little extra "help" show up mid project:

He should'a called his Okiehomo buddy to give him a hand. I understand he's an experienced post hole digger. ;)

Nice job and a great accomplishment.

Cap's an experienced post hole digger, too.....I think a contest is in order.....a dollar to the digger of the biggest post hole. ;)

All they'd do is lie about who dug the biggest hole and post some Photo-shopped pics to argue their case. ;)

Ha.....do you reckon a post hole could be "long-armed" ??? ;)

They'd just longhole it till it looked like the Grand Canyon

As a kid, I went through all the Cub Scout ranks including Weblos before becoming a Boy Scout. I honestly didn't have the desire to push myself to Eagle Scout. I know I made it to "Star", but can't remember if I made it to "Life" or was simply working towards it when I decided to move on to Explorers. Heck, I can still recite the Scout Oath and the Scout Law by heart. :thumbsup

See what I did there Q/A? I followed your lead in another thread. This thing went from Matt completing his Eagle Scout requirement, to Cappy and Barry in a posthole digging contest.

I circled right back the the original subject matter. ;)

That Matt is a stand up young man. I really enjoy being around him.
Congrats to him on the project!
The Posthole digging contest is one I'd be GLAD to loose to Posty. However he would have to win 5 times before I owed him anything... :D

I think the first posthole he ever dug was out in the cow pasture at your farm. I guess he's not as quick a learner as I thought...

Yep, that's something you don't forget, Thump....."T-L-H-F-C-K-O-C-T-B-C-R" is how I learned it.

I was looking at the trail map and it's also got some river access to some prime smallmouth habitat that I think may not get much pressure. I'm gonna sneak out there with my rod in a couple of weeks and check it out.
