These numbers surprised me. Despite there being no big events so far this year like Dallas or Baton Rouge, the numbers are up over this same time last year.

I honestly don't know how you do it. I thank God that you do do it but don't know how it's possible in this day and age. It's fucking animals out there with no regard, no thought, not one shred of understanding of human life. And yes, I said do do.

That part hasn't changed. Now add the suspicion of every move a LEO makes and all of the heavily edited videos on social media and the hurried, incomplete stories, it is a struggle to keep on keeping on.
