I am admitted coffee abuser. I typically drink about 3/4 of a pot every day and its a rare fishing trip that my thermos doesn't come along with me.
That said, I have turned into a coffee snob as well. I don't use a gold screen often (although I have one) but I do have an awesome coffee maker and its been here on our kitchen counter for 20 years.
I buy beans from a Canadian coffee company called Kcking Horse. They have a blend called 'Grizzly Claw' that I've been addicted to for a couple of years.
The reason I thought of this post is my wife just made a pot of Folgers. Although Thump would probably hit on Mrs Olsen, I think their coffee tastes like mud. Acidic mud.

I drink way too much of it as well. I'm the only one in the house that drinks it, so I use a Keurig. Makes life easy.

So why did I not get a sample of that fancy Dan coffee while I was there. All I got was coffee from Bojangles.
I guess you save the good stuff for your really good friends.

Hey, I brought a bunch of it to North Carolina. We drank it the whole time.

I have no vices, I've never drank coffee or smoked. My mom however, is another story ... as kids growing up, we ALL knew not to say one word to mom in the morning until AFTER she'd had her first cup, or you could end up having your head handed to you on a platter! :hair

She's 85 now and has her coffee maker on a timer, so she gets the fixin's loaded at night, sets the timer, and her coffee is ready the minute she gets up out of bed.

Funny that you mentioned coffee as a 'vice'.

Black Rifle Coffee Company is supposed to be good. I'm not a coffee snob, Sanka instant is my favorite far as taste goes. Creamer and sugar are a necessity. I don't drink Mochas or lattes or espressos any such yuppie drink, just plain coffee with a little sugar and creamer

I'm a coffee slave and really enjoy the good stuff. But, I'll drink just about anyone it in a pinch.

I had Cuban coffee in Key West, from a legit Cuban place.
Damn if that stuff won't light your fire!

Cafe Bustello dark roast or Community Coffee dark roast are my every day coffees, they are pretty good for mass produced stuff.
