Back in the early 70's, I went in to take the test for a Thai driver's license. (I still have it). While studying the "road rules" section, it stated when passing, the bigger vehicle has the right-of-way. WTF??? I guess that explains why there were so many head-on collisions ... motorcycle vs. motorcycle, car vs. car, truck vs. truck, bus vs. bus, etc. I guess they didn't quite think that law through before passing it! ;)
