We've got some skeeters this year that can stand flatfooted and breed a turkey. I just came in from a few hours of yard work out back and I look like i've been shot with birdshot.
As Muddy says DAYUM!

First problem in your post is the word hours should never be used in conjunction with yard work. Anyone who works in the yard for hours in August deserves to be et up by skeeters. Hope you don't die from malaria before you get to eat your fig preserves. If you do have Julie return to sender

You know when that gets here I have some garlic I'm gonna roast and some goat cheese, and I'm gonna spread all that stuff on some crusty bread.

It got here today along with a nice note from a pretty grandma.

There's gonna be a field test tonight!

Thanks Vince and Eileen!

We've had a cool wet summer up here. They just had a little didy on TV saying we usually average 8 days where the temps are 90 or above, this summer we've had zero.
It's been very comfortable with no skeeters, very pleasant sitting outside in the evening.
We are about double the rain fall for the year, and if this keeps up, we could see another 100" snow fall this winter.

It's definitely been a cool summer up this way. But, we've had almost no skeeters at all. Those dog pecker gnats are another story!

I might try to see if there's a couple more jars I can send. If you fry a piece or two of bacon to go with it.........
