i was in Jamaica when a CAT5 hit decades ago. I think those winds were 130-150 and that's something I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Dang, Larke, Jim Cantore just drew a line on his screen, where they are predicting this monster is headed.....his line went dead center of St. Auggie.....man, I hope your's and Thump's homes survive this thing.
This thing is strong and massive, just like Katrina, with a mind of it's own, and personally, I think it's gonna rake across south Fla. and the Keys.....then, like a crazed bull, it's gonna sniff out that warm open water, and charge into the Gulf......then, everyone along the Gulf from Mexico to Alabama better start praying......jmho.

The whole east coast just had a massive high pressure roll through yesterday. I'd be shocked if Irma could get around to the other side of it. If anything, it would steer it up the coast (like they seem to be predicting) or further out to sea which would be best case.
