Sep 9, 1975 was the day I went into the Air Force and was my separation date four years later in 1979. I went to work for a little startup with about 700 employees the very next day. Its name was MCI.
Damn. I think that's 42 years ain't it?

I figured out a plan where you could hook your alternator off your truck up to a bicycle and run that sump you installed today. Then if the power goes out you'd have somethng to do. You could power a small fan too.

It was 54 years ago today (9-10-63) that I left home for Parris Island to become a Jarhead.
Boy, some of use guys are young. It was also 48 years ago today that I got out.
AND! 47 years ago today I was a poor college student living on food stamps , in a 12x50 mobile home , doing my student teaching when I became a new father for #1.
9-10 are my lucky numbers.

You missed it by the skin of your teeth! One day later and it would make it a bit tough to say 9/11 is where your lucky numbers came from. Bubba, did you stay on active duty the full 6 years, or are you counting reserve time? Just wondering if you decided to be a lifer, then changed your mind.

6 years in the Reserves, they offered me an extra stripe to reenlist but 6 years was good enough.
Hope all's well with you and the storm.
