Got a house in Florida where a major hurricane goes right over it and I loose about 10 shingles, and tree limbs down but no flooding even though it sits on an island with the ocean a block one way and the intercostal about a block the other way.
My daughter has a house near Savannah Georgia where the hurricane kicks butt and she comes up here to stay to get away from all the back stuff. She just returned home with no damage or flooding. Only a few sticks and limbs in the yard.
I got a house in SC and had one tree on all those fences and limbs. But no damages of note.
And my furtherest north home is in NC where the hurricane had basically calmed down to a tropical depression when it got here and we lost power for 24 hours.
I guess I've just always been backwards.
