There were VERY few deaths here due to the hurricane itself, but people are dropping like flies due to carbon monoxide from generators. The latest here in town was just a few miles south of me.
41-year-old Shashunda Wilson said she woke up Wednesday morning and was feeling dizzy. She also noticed her daughter appeared dead.
It turned out, her 7-year old daughter was dead due to carbon monoxide poisoning from their generator. The way I see it, if someone HAD to die, I think this tragedy should have been reversed.
FWIW, I personally nominate Shashunda for a 2017 Darwin Award. The generator was in her frigging living room.
