We went over to the property, middle of Sept, and got back Tuesday.

Did a lot of work and only went fishing one day!

Here's what we worked on.

For two days I worked on rocking the new 28 inch culvert. Its not finished but I think I have enough rock around the opening, the water shouldn't do any damage or wash soil away.
Next year I will finish it and rock the other end.

We decided to put in some drainage ditches. Our site is sitting on bedrock. A rock cropping, so you get 1-2 feet deep and hit solid rock.

Hubby hand chipped away the solid rock with bar.
After all this work, this trip, his wrists and hands are really hurting so he'll be getting a jackhammer for Christmas.

This ditch will help catch the rain and snow that comes off the roof.

DANG IT! Can someone please turn all my pictures the correct direction! Thanks!

Once we finished that project, we moved the patio stuff onto that area, and started digging out the patio area.
Next spring we will concrete the patio area.

Once that project was finished we dug a ditch on the other side of the 5th wheel for the gray water pipe and made it into a drainage ditch, with rock, to catch rain and snow on that side. Outside the fence, hubby hit solid rock and spent hours chipping away a path for the pipe.

Broke 3 huge pieces and rolled them down the hill.

Once that was done, we put up the framing for the siding, to protect the 5th wheel from the weather.
We can unscrew the front frame, so we can get the 5th wheel out.

Then put the siding up and painted it.
Sorry about the picture. It was taken at 11pm before we left.
I'll get better pictures next trip.
We still need to make doors to cover the openings.
Hopefully it will be protected from the weather and bears.

We busted our asses this trip and our hands really hurt.
Have real bad split and cracks around the finger nails, that hurt like a B!

Only had one day to go fishing and the fish weren't where we had caught them before.
Haven't fished that part of the lake enough to know where they moved too.
So we just enjoyed being on the water and it was good running the engine.

We decided next year, we aren't going to work so hard and put more time into fishing.
We do need to get the 7 wires up on the fence line. Still only have 1 temp line up.
Hope you enjoy seeing the progress.

Hunting season starts soon, so I will be protecting our deer!

That’s a lot of work, and the progress really shows!
Protect your deer?? I find the best way to protect deer is to keep them wrapped up in small packages tucked neatly in the freezer!

Man, that's real work! I've often thought that if I bought my own hunt camp I'd want to do something like you're doing with the structure around a travel trailer. Very cool.

And, I've got to agree with RT on protecting the deer. I've often thought it was my duty to ease their suffering as the winter is so long and cold...

Lots of work for sure but I'm sure it will turn out great.

Be careful with "protecting" all those deer and turkeys, before you know it the predator numbers will be increasing too.

You are right Bwana. I went back, over to the property with the dogs, for a week. One of those three bucks was attacked.
Really bad too, but on video his legs are not hurt and he was walking normal.
Not sure if he’s made it. Won’t know till I get back over there and see if the three are still together.
Got more painting done and then the next week I drove back ( 7 hrs one way)and picked the hubby up for a quick weekend trip.
Got the 5th winterized and everything buttoned up.
Put new batteries in all 8 cameras.

Hoping to get over there soon and check on everything.
