Man, I love fall. I wish the drought hadn't dried up one of my favorite fishing creeks, but the upper reaches of the creek is still running and full of fish. So hopefully when the entire creek runs again, it will send some fish down this way again. In the mean time a guy can't help but love these early fall colors. I've lived in Montana for over 20 years and I still never get tired of the beauty of this state!

What the heck. I'll add a fish as it has pretty cool fall colors as well. ;)

Troy I will never get tired of looking at the colors of those trout of yours. We have similar fish here is WV but they are native and 10% of the mass of that one you've got in your hand. Thanks for sharing.

I've traveled through Montana on a few occasions and it's not only beautiful, but I don't think I've ever seen so much wildlife anywhere else. :thumbsup

You've got that right, Will. If I ever pulled a native brookie that size out of one of our blue lines, I'd probably keel over on the spot.

I'm hoping to go fishing this weekend at a lake where the brooke trout allegedly will dwarf the brookie in this thread. I'm sure hoping I can connect with some like that!

And I, being the upstanding individual that I am, would take note of the location of said keeling over for future reference. Good fishing spots are hard to find don't you know. :)

a skull and bones GPS waypoint should do the trick. Assuming they don't have tombstone icons these days.
