Today (Sunday) was a morning to be out in the deer woods. Temps in the low 30's , light wind, and lots of snow.
We received about 4" between 7 and 11, perfect to see deer and track blood trails.
8:30 two deer can down the trail, both bald headed does, nice size, took the second one as she looked bigger.
Spine shot, dropped her where she stood. #3 came over to help me gut her and drag her out. When we rolled her over she sported a set of nuts. Just like Thumps girlfriends, beautiful looking doe but hung like a man. Felt all around the head and no sign of antler nubs or nothing that would indicate antler growth. Nice 150 lb. deer about 2 1/2 years old
I told #3 to go set in my blind and I walked about 75 yds' and sat down on a nice ridge. I had not left him more than 10 minutes when I hear him shoot. Texted me he took a nice buck not 10 yd's from the gut pile. He had his nose up a does butt and had only one thing on his mind. Big deer, should go close to 200 lbs, maybe 3 1/2 years old.
So productive morning, nice to tag out.

Way to go gents!

It must have been the weekend for father/son hunting as that's what we did too. Dad must be good luck as I was able to fill my doe tag, a turkey tag, and shoot a pheasant all within the first 1.5 hours of the day.
