I liked The Byrds but I have always viewed them as a flash in the pan, especially when you consider the talent over the years in that band. Next time you are listening to old classics give a listen to Manassas. its one of the best underappreciated albums ever. For that matter Stephen Stills was head and shoulders above most of his peers musically. I have both Manassas and a Buffalo Springfield collection in my regular playlist.
