Appears to me to be some sort of stamper table.

I guess ‘press’ is a better term for it.

‘Punch’ is the word I was looking for!

A man needs a good reliable punch.

Well, I dunno, but I DO know it's off an airplane .... because I know for a fact, it’s definitely not ON an airplane. ;)

I'm going to guess some sort of sheet metal bending apparatus.

It's a door lock for some type of strong ass door. Not necessarily a plane door unless you're a dufus like Jimmy.

A press or stamper of some kind I think. I see wing nuts on there to adjust the guides and the heavy piece of steel under the press. If it were a sheet metal bender you'd have the second long piece of steel aligning with the one out on the end. You'd see it have a drive apparatus on it so you could pinch the steel and bend it to the right angle....

But I have to admit I ain't seen anything ~just~ like that before.

Ha! Willie, we're on the same page! The very first thing that came to my mind, was a sheet metal brake or bar folder of some sort. I used that type equipment, when I was in the custom car business, for parts fabrication. But, like you ..... "I have to admit I ain't seen anything ~just~ like that before." If it IS anything like that, it looks like a pretty crude tool. I'm pretty much clueless. It might be easier to know what the guy's trade or hobby was. That could be a big hint, possibly!

Roach clips are for rookies, a real veteran can smoke it down to a quarter nubbin without any new fangled contraptions

So are you gonna tell what this deal is or not? A cat skinning machine? nah, Big sky would’ve recognized that right away.
