USA Wimmins Hockey and USA Curling

Gold after beating Canada in wimmins hockey and we beat Canada to advance to the gold metal round against Sweden in curling.

Sorry Johnboy, but congrats on the silver. That was one helluva match. In fact both matches we played we great games.

As for curling, I don’t think we’ll beat the Swedes but we had a great match to get to the finals.

Congrats and rats. Womens hockey was painful (I hate shootouts! Should have gone to OT.) but our curlers are just not on their game this time around. Our women were terrible and the guys just seem to be somewhere else. Good on youse guys, however.

Curling is catching on here believe it or not. There is a place in Tulsa that has curling ng leagues. If they allow beer, I might look into playing. It looks like a hoot.

Ha! You old retired dufus. Next thing ya' know, you'll be moving to Florida, buying a trailer in a seniors only park and taking up shuffleboard! Of course you can only play in "uniform" ... a Hawaiian shirt, plaid shorts, black knee-high stretch socks and sandals. I'm not so sure about the beer, but I'm sure they'll be serving Ensure to wash down the Geritol tablets. ;)

Not sure if you are aware Posthole but pretty sure curling and beer are synonymous. No need to worry about being able to wet you whistle.

FYI - the lady who scored the winning goal in the hockey match is from good ol' North Dakota, Grand Forks to be exact!
