When the whistle blows I'm out the door for what will be an all-night drive to somewhere way up north in the land of tukes (sp?) and a host of Kentucky Fried Chicken places still reeling from the last time Kribbs was up there. That will put us at the lake shore where a 13.5 mile long boat ride will take us to the wall tent where we will spend the next week in search of black bear in the evenings, fishing walleye at night, and northerns during the morning.

To say I am excited for my first bear hunt is a big understatement!

That would be tuque, in the Great White North of of Bob and Doug McKenzie. Going to Ontario? Sounds like a great trip. Have fun!

Where will you be hunting Bwana? I bear hunted Ontario for about 20 years and have lost count on how many bears I've taken. The last one was just as exciting as the first one!

Almost on the Saskachewan border. Depending on the lake, you might get into some interesting lake trout fishing in shallow water this time of year. They will come right up to shore or right on the surface as long as the water is less than 52f. Troll mid size 5 of diamonds. Wish I was going with you.
