Isn’t this the time of year where this place starts pulling out of the summer doldrums? Anybody doing any preseason scouting? Football? Racing? Ford v. Chevy?

Anyone? Bueler?

The redskins lost two rookies to ACL injuries last week, so I’m sure the curse continues.

I’ve been extremely busy the past couple of weeks. My wife took a new job, she is now the Principal at the school she worked at and had to start back earlier than she had expected.

The kids start back to school this week so it’s been crazy with getting supplies and open houses, plus my son started practice for his youth football league.

That being said, I don’t post a lot anyhow, so you all have been the slackers. ;)

Busy at work but have been out salmon fishing the past two Saturdays but have only caught one salmon each day.

No salmon fishing this weekend though as my daughter has to stay in town to work a trap shoot. Trying to get her to participate as well, but she says she will only if I do too. Trouble with that plan is that I have only shot one round of trap each of the past three years. Spent MANY hours coaching but that just isn't the same as practicing. Told her I would be better off just giving her my entry money but I think she wants to embarrass me by outshooting me.

> I caught and steaked 27 big ole fittlers, late yesterday afternoon.
> I ate 9 big ole fittler steaks with ranch fries, cole slaw, sweet tea, and ice cream, last night.
> If it twern't for this part-time job, I'd be knee-deep in fittlers.
> Fall is in the air, and I'm prepping a dove field for the Sept. 1st opener.
> Then, teal season opens on Sept. 15th.
> Food plot wheat prices are sky-high, this year because farmers planted so little of it.
> About $12 bucks for a 50 lb. bag of high germ., down here right now.
> Glad I booked mine earlier for $9 bucks.
> That is all---have a great day. :)

We’ve been having a walleye night once a week since I got back from Canada. One walleye feeds Julie and
I so we’ve got a couple more weeks to go. Man that’s good stuff and I’m addicted to the bbq tater chip batter recipe the Iowegians showed me.

Other than, I’ve just been over here on the right, just doin’ right!

I thought you were more toward the left.

That would depend on whether you are looking backwards or forwards.

Well, that’s easy .... left is backwards and right is forward. ;)
