Has anyone ever cracked their tailbone???.....we’re in Colorado, and went fishing, yesterday.....I plopped my azz down on a b-f-r before I realized it had a raised ridge down the center.....it really didn’t hurt that much, immediately, but I can hardly sit down, today.....sounds sorta wimpy, but my azz bone is really hurting.

Yeppers, I “bruised” mine years ago and it was a pita ... (no pun intended). It was really hard to find a way to sit comfortably for quite a while. I feel for ya’ brother.

Thump, I hate to bring up my pain-in-the-azz problem, again, but how long did it take for your azz bone to heal???.....I always heal pretty darn quick from injuries, cuts, and bruises, but this is day 5, and there's been very little improvement.....I'm taking one "Alleve", daily, which does relieve most of the pain, but I don't like taking much medication of any kind for something, which should be healing on it's own.
It prolly didn't help the healing process, either, from sitting in a cramped airline seat for 6 hours, yesterday, flying back from Colorado. :(

Muddy, TBH, it was so long ago, I really don’t remember. One thing I DO remember though, is that it seemed to take forever!

Actually, I never went to a doctor, so I really don’t know if it was bruised or fractured, but it seems I suffered for at least 2-months or so. (And I was MUCH younger then) I have a feeling you’re just getting started.

Hmmmm, I just consulted my good buddy Google. It appears you better get used to it hurting for a while! Ouch! 😳

“A tailbone injury can be very painful and slow to heal. Healing time for an injured tailbone depends on the severity of the injury. If you have a fracture, healing can take between 8 to 12 weeks. If your tailbone injury is a bruise, healing takes about 4 weeks.”

And Mudward, I fractured/bruised my tailbone when I was young and it hurt like a bitch for something around 6 weeks. I hope yours ain't as bad. Have you tried washing it? BBP said you prolly should. I'm just repeating what he said.

I didn't figure Thump would know what the h3ll a coccyx was, so I just called it a tail bone.....evidently, he knows how to wash one, however, 'cause Seafoam will cure just 'bout anything, ya know. ;););).....
