here's ten games, help yourself

Northwestern @ Purdue

Army @ Duke

Texas tech vs Ole Miss neutral site

Tenn @ West Virginia

Washington @ Auburn

Mich @ Notre Dame

Bama vs the Lying Petrino's neutral site

Miami vs LSU neutral site

VTech @ FSU

Texas @ Maryland

haven't decided if I'll pick em yet but at least it may generate a few comments

My upset special would be Maryland over Texas

Hot damn! These are some pretty good week 1 matchups. Initial thoughts:

Army over Duke as I just hate the dookies that much. Va Tech over FSU as my oldest is now a Hokie so I’ll root them on against the favorite. Can Miami and LSU both lose?

As for the Terps. They’re local for me here and Texas will have to be truly terrible to
Lose to them. They may have enough raw emotion to win their first game, but that program is in a shambles.

if Michigan beats Notre Dame in South Bend they might be a playoff team.

naw, that goofball Harbaugh will find a way to screw it up.

Domers by 10

Harbaugh has the pieces in place better than any year for him so far. But I do think Michigan is in a better spot than ND going into the season. I have to take them.

The Tennessee/WVU game is funny in that the two programs have never played each other. Hard to believe as close as they are situated to each other. Hope the Mounties can get a win to start the season.

After the fake moral outrage by the Tennessee fans concerning the Greg Schiano hire I don't care if that bunch of dumb peckerwoods ever win a game in any sport.

I am wondering how Houston is considered a ‘neutral site’ in the Taco Tech-Ole Misery matchup. But I’d root for the Moscow Peeing Whores against Texas Tech and Coach Dingleberry.

Washington-Auburn looks like an awesome opener but I’ll be damned if I’d know who to pick. Hombre has a reason to be in purple though, so I’m going with the Huskies.

Tennessee-West Va is interesting if only to see if Holgorsen can keep OSU East competitive. I ain’t convinced Grier is as good as ESPN says he is. He’ll likely get hurt in this game is my prediction.

Va Tech against the Semenholes might cost someone their job. Justin Fuente is the real deal. Willie Taggart might have a long season if Va Tech beats them. I gotta go with Fuente. He’s a former Sooner too! Played there when the old drunk was coaching.

I’m picking the Domers even though I don’t like them, or their coach, or their unis, or their touchdown jesus or anything about them. Khaki Boy will have a tough time against them.

And you didn’t list OU-FAU but I think its gonna be much closer than predictions!

I was set to go to this game but they scheduled Cade's first football game on Saturday, and its even at kickoff time. Rootin for the Huskies but I'd much prefer to watch some Freshman ball

I thought he’d chosen lacrosse instead of football. Did he change his mind or is he doing both?

He's doing both, but he's going to have to decide on sports pretty soon and frankly I think he's getting burned out. Last year he did LaCrosse, football, wrestling, and track.

Are most of the lacrosse kids native american? I saw a documentary on lacrosse in the northeast and it is huge there. I think Syracuse U might be the leading lacrosse program at the college level. The best players seemed to be the Mohawk kids that live in that region.

It’s huge in my area with lots of kids who used to play football becoming Lax Bros instead.

Ya pretty big here. Seems like Yale was the best team this year, and Duke is pretty good every year. I have to say I wish he'd play that sport full-time it's pretty fun to watch and has a lot of action.

Random thoughts: Turns out Tejas is truly terrible and the Terps’ emotion carried them for one game. God, I freakin’ hate Notre Dame.

I hope tonight’s game is better than last nights. I had to switch over to soccer it was so bad.

Top Ten thoughts on week one

1) It's not too late to get on the Bama bandwagon. The defense will improve even if Saban has to bite a couple more reporters to get it done. Tua stays healthy and they win it all

Again.

2) Anybody counting on LSU being an automatic win might want to rethink that thought. Coach O ain't going anywhere. Of course Miami ain't all that

3) Notre Dame will probably make the Playoffs with the schedule they have, then get crushed by Bama, Clempson the Sooners or Georgia.

4) The domers QB is not as good as Herbstreet would have you think. His receivers bailed him out several times on poor throws

5) Oklahoma is the real deal. WVU is gonna be fun in November

6) It's always good when the lying Petrinos get clobbered. The downside, nobody stepped on Bobby's face

7) the jury is still out on the Wolfpack, Florida, the Faggies, the Suckeyes, and Penn st. More as the season progresses

8) Tennessee still sucks and that's always a good thing

9) Purdue and Northwestern could be dangerous if they stay healthy. Both are well coached, Michigan is not. I'll be surprised if Khaki boy doen't garner some hotseat votes before the end of the season.

10) Women sideline reporters are generally useless and get waaaaay too much facetime. If I want to look at women, the internet is full of porn

Bonus thought: I really don't think Chad Morris is the MAN at arkansas and Chavis has lost it if he ever had it to begin with. All I heard so far is, "we're going to bring pressure from every angle on every play". We couldn"t put any pressure on Eastern Freaking Illinois. Plus we had 80 yds rushing. 80YDS. Glad we wern't playing a powerhouse like Troy or Marshall

Sigh. Looks like a long season in Fayetteville

Again

Note to self, DO NOT schedule APP St early in the season

Purdue lost most of its defense to graduation so the offense is going to have to carry them. I agree they have a good coach. I hope they can keep him for a while.
