The very best book Clancy wrote about that whole string of characters is ‘Without Remorse’ It is about how the character John Kelly (Willam Defoe in Clear and Present Danger movie) become a CIA spook. It also has Jack Ryan’s father in it. Awesome book that should have been a movie by now.

Of all the movies, that one was the best adaptation of the book.

Had a chance to watch the first episode last night. Pretty good, but I’m having a hard time placing John Krasinski in the role. I when I see him I think of “The office”. Maybe that will change after more episodes.

Watched the first two episodes last night and thought it was pretty good. Better than I expected, actually. I see a marathon coming up. My favourite Clancy book would have to be Red Storm Rising.
