Another icon bites the dust. I feel older and older every time another one drops. 😒

Loni Anderson wasn't exactly chopped liver back in her prime, which is when he had her. His life seems to be one long mistake with life choices. To be honest I didn't think he was all that great of an actor. In Smokey and the Bandit I thought he was the least interesting person of all the main actors in the show. I did love watching that black Trans Am tear it up on the big screen though. I was in high school back then and every normal teenage boy in school wanted one, me included.

Semi Tough was my favorite Burt Reynolds movie, mainly because I’m a fan of Dan Jenkins books. His Billy Clyde Puckett was just as I’d imagined him to be.

I worked for the Pontiac dealer in Orlando when Smokey and the Bandit came out. After that movie, we couldn't get the black/gold Trans Am's in fast enough. We NEVER had one for the lot or showroom. They were sold before they ever arrived on the truck.

He was an icon. Especially for grade school boys like me..... Me and everyone I knew wanted to be a year jammer there for a while.

Rest in peace Bandit. This is the Penguin and I'm 10-10 on the side. :)
