This occurred at a halftime band performance in Brookhaven, MS, after two police officers were gunned down in that very town, just a few days prior.

Forest Hill H.S. from Jackson, MS was the visiting team, and performed this horrendous skit at half-time, in front of the very town folks who just buried the two police officers.

I don't have all the details, yet, but this is just f**ing sick on so many levels. !!!

Our Governor found out about it, and called for heads to roll.....the band director who instigated it got his pink slip, and apologies from all the school district officials were numerous.

That is just freakin bizarre. And hugely disrespectful.

My only question is why? what does being hurtful to an entire community accomplish even if they had some kind of message?

Well, I guess Colin Kaepernick started a new trend for making political statements at ballgames.

I have to admit though, what persactley is the statement they were trying to make? I'm kinda cornfuzzled.

It's also displaying very poor muzzle and trigger discipline.

From what I understand, the band director said it was some sorta satire skit based on the movie, "John Q"..... the police shooting down there in Brookhaven was all over both state and national news, but evidently, the band director was totally oblivious to any news from around the state or nation.

In my humble opinion, all band activities or performances should ultimately be approved by the supt. or principal.....band directors are usually pretty lazy in the first place, and just let the kids do what they want to do. ;)

A good band director lets the kids determine what they're going to perform and adds adult direction and supervision. Directors actually work really hard. This particular director seems to be a crayon eating window licker, however.
