Short rabbit hunt report .....

[Big Muddy]

> Five rabbit hunters.....3 old white guys and 2 old black guys
> Eleven stone-cold killer beagles
> Killed about a dozen swampers.....shot AT about a dozen more
> The 2 old black guys are crack sharp shooters.....kicked the 3 old white guy's butts
> Hunt lasted 5 hours.....lots of walking in the briars and slash water
> I'm wiped out.....too tired to even take any pics
> I'm sure the charlie horses will hit both legs about 2 AM.

Not much beats rabbit hunting over good beagles.

A guy I used to hunt with had a really good beagle. Only problem was you had better hit the rabbits you were shooting at because if you missed too many shots, the dog would quit and head back to the truck. Apparently he didn’t like his time and effort being wasted.

Ha, QA, I ain't no where near 80, or even 70, yet, but chasin' rabbits and beagles 5 straight hours will dang sho'nuf make you feel like it.....but, the exercise keeps me feeling young and good lookin' !!! ;)

Wish I had been there. Man I love to rabbit hunt. Don’t know that I could have improved on your white guy shooting adverage but I would have been slinging some pellets!
