And Happy first day of winter! Here at the center of the Universe, we only have 9 hrs and 41 minutes of daylight today. And like everyone else the sun is at it lowest point of the year.

But its all downhill from here!

Since I am pretty near the western end of the Eastern time zone, we only get 9 hours and 8 minutes between sunrise and sunset today.

Ummm, Deppity, what does location in your time zone have to do with the number of daylight hours???

Ok, I guess your right about location in time zone, then it must be my northern location that makes me have a half hour less than Arty, and almost an hour and a half less than you.

Yessir, it’s affected by latitude, not longitude.

The longitude just makes my sunset a lot later than yours. My sunrise was 8:03 and sunset was 5:11.
