Ha! Since I was texting in a moving car without my glasses, I probably shouldn’t automatically blame spellcheck, but who knows? I guess it’ll fit either way, so I’ll leave it alone. ;)

I WILL say that’s a nice sized chunk of cast iron there! Or does it’s size compared to the cook just make it look bigger than it really is? ;)

Jim - that’s a #10. It’s either an old Wagner or 3-notch Lodge. (Both pans have a finish like glass.) We also have an old Wopak in #10, but I don’t think we used it this past weekend. If you’re intrigued by large CI pans, we’ve got a Griswold #20 “Hotel” skillet that we use in the oven for roasts and the like. I’m almost afraid to use it based on the prices I’ve seen on EBay. Almost.

Capn wields that fork like an expert For a fella that claims he doesn’t have to cook. I think mrs Capn has him trained better than he lets on

That place rated way up on the cool scale.
But the cast and blast rapidly became the meet and eat crowd....
Every couple of hours this bunch would have to go back to the cabin and cook and eat something.
Fish biting like hell and you would hear “I’m getting hungry” and the more pounds for lunch bunch would load up and go cook another big ass meal.
I ate more in 3 days than I normally do in two weeks.
Munchies are a real thing.
Hank has a very cool hunt club with some great habitat!
I’d like to visit that place again with some folks that like to fish! ;)

I got home and got on the scales and I lost weight on that trip. I’m not sure how that happened but I’ll take it. Maybe we should market a diet called the Cast and Blast Diet!
