We're under a Tornado Watch until about 4:00 pm EST this afternoon. Already had to head to the basement once this morning. We have somekindofan alert thingy on our phones....and they went off about 8 AM saying there was a tornado on the ground...in the next little burg over from us....about 10 miles or so.

I've got the weather radio set to go off every time they come over with one of their alarm announcements.....and its been going off about every 5 mins for the last hour talking about a bad storm in Alabama, just over the line.......we aren't all that far from AL here.

SO.......got the old booty puckered a little bit this morning.....and according to this map, we should get some pretty heavy weather out of this front.

We are about half way between Atlanta and Lagrange on this map. Coweta county...

Hang tight. We're looking for a 35 degree temp drop today. It's currenly about 52 but going to drop down into the mid teen's by tomorrow morning. All the rain we've had the past couple of days is really going to freeze up and make a mess. Just wish it had stayed cold and the rain would have been snow. It's winter after all, so that's the way it should be!

Niner, been watching CNN, looks like youse guys are really getting hammered down there.
Stay safe, they are telling us we'll have about 15" of new snow come the weekend.
Only have to put up with this for another 6 weeks.

Keep yo'sef hunkered down, Niner....this weather system is a biatch....came thru here about midnight....tornadoes reported all around my area....50-60-mph straight-line winds....didn't go to bed until about 2am....we didn't get much damage, mostly limbs, etc., but others lost roofs, and whole trees on houses....coulda been worse, however.

We came out OK. We only go about 30 mins of reallly hard rain here. Wind was blowing most of the day....blowing the tops of the trees every which way but off. :) Of course we got lots of rain on and off all day. And now that the front has pass through, it's supposed to get colllld again.
