Supporting a family can be hard work and there are times, I know from personal experience, that you look at how far up the hill you still have to go and have to put your head down and push yourself to get up and go to work. And you do it. Because its the right thing to do.

You done a deed, brother. Congrats on your retirement.

And oh yeah, you’re now over the hill. Enjoy! The view is fine!

Thanks guys,

I’m at work today, only three people know about it, I’ll drop by unexpected one day to avoid any party’s and fanfare and goodbye everyone.

For the last 45 years, I’ve got up every day and went to work, it still hasn’t sunk in that all my time will be my own.

Now maybe I can get around to that CFB preseason analysis

I look forward to reading it, and I will read it in a Lou Holyz lithsp.

I'm going to spend my first day of retirement changing lawnmower blades and spraying Bahia grass.

After breakfast and spending some tiime with my grandaughters of course.

Then later after my nap, I'll start studying everything Sooner football. Spoiler alert: Jalen Hurts ain't no Kyler Murray

Just wear this t-shirt the last day you check in at the office. ;)

GET THAT KETCHUP OFF THOSE HASH BROWNS BUCKY!!! :spank

Ha! (That's how Lynn eats 'em too.) Baloney or country ham?

'Course, with the above, I'd skip the hash browns and go for the grits! My normal go-to would be Country Fried Steak (MILK gravy of course) and smashed taters with the whole mess smothered in Tobasco. :thumbsup

Fried balony and country ham. The ham is on a separate plate to the left. It’s called the 1977 special. Two eggs, two fried balony slices, hash browns, toast or biscuit and gravy and coffee for $5.99 at smoking Jim’s Hickory House.

I try to eat there a couple times a month

Smoking Jim's? Ha! My dinner last night? A dive joint called Smokin' Joe's! (BBQ) It's my favorite and a "must do" whenever we head down this way.

The only mullet my hands touch, is what I use for cut bait.

Lynn loves the shit and usually takes some home with HER!

Mullet = cut bait.
NOT food

Ummm, I "think" I already said that. ;)

We actually stop there for the BBQ PORK. Lynn does love mullet, but they haven't had it for quite a while due to the red tide thingy that was going on this year. SOMEBODY must really like it ... when they DO have it, it sells out in a matter of hours. People actually line up for that crap!

Man, y’all are pussies. Back in my AF days I used to stop by a bar once in a while right outside of gate 2 on Bayshore Drive in Tampa to have a few beers and eat some smoked mullet. The guy netted it and smoked it right out back of the place. The Sportsman’s Club it was called. Purty much 100% veterans in there.
I love sardines too but those were better!

Back in your Air Force days you were prolly so high you could have ate the board they were smoked on and said it was good.
Mullet is bait. Period.

Back in my 20’s I think I would have eaten a boiled doorknob. But these were tasty, served out on a piece of butcher paper with a tall frosty beer.
