Did any of y'all catch the pilot for this new series "The Americans" on FX last night?
I thought it was pretty good....a bit too much gratuitous "sex" for the TV, but I think I'll keep it on the DVR queue.
As a "Cold War Veteran" I can totally see the premiss on this show. Being stationed on the Navy's newest nuclear powered aircraft carrier (in the early 80's) we were constantly being drilled to be careful who and what we discussed about the ship in public. Somewhere around here I have pictures of the "trawler" that followed us on our shake-down cruise from the time we left port until we got back.
