this not working thang

is alright by me. Me and the missus slipped out this morning and harvested six yearling bass, two white perch and two bluegill. Broke in my new fish cleaning table and then she fried them up and made fish gravy whilst I made the tartar sauce. A tall glass of sweet tea and I ain't fit for killing.

I feel a nap attack coming on

Fish gravy is a new one for me. Please describe. Does it taste fishy?

I wondered the same thing. I just assumed it was fish curry. As for flavor, I only like it with a mild, firmer (white) fish. I’m not a fan of ANYTHING with a fishy flavor.

Fish gravy is just a couple of tablespoons of the fish grease put in a pan, add cornmeal and stir until thick then season with catsup and hot sauce, add a little water and stir until you get the consistency you want. I like mine more on the thicker side

Oh, a very simple gravy. I was picturing something more elaborate.

As P-hole asked ... does it taste fishy? Or does the hot sauce, etc. hide it?

Yep, I just Googled it. It seems there are quite a few recipes out there. I'd never heard of it.

Very little fish taste, mostly the seasoning. You can go gourmet as much as you like but I like mine simple, thick and on the side to drag my fries thru
