Just found out that my Step Father has lung cancer that's spread to his brain. He'd been been having significant arm and should pain, which may be related to the lung cancer, but no other symptoms. Then Tuesday he just started talking gibberish at work and had to be taken to the hospital. It turns out he's got a mass in his lung the size of an orange and multiple tumors in his brain. Radiation may buy him 1-2 years, but it's inoperable. He's a helluva a guy and otherwise healthy as a horse. He joined the Marines out of high school as an alternative to going to jail and turned the GI bill into a law degree and a career in Army intelligence. Best of all is how well he's taken care of my Mom. This news has really made me realize how lucky I've been to not have to worry about her. At any rate, I'd appreciate any pull you guys may have with the Man upstairs.
