I've been pursuing this fly fishing bidness more seriously since moving here. I'm still not what I'd call addicted to it, but it is fun to try and improve on something that I'm not particularly good at. Keeps me out of trouble anyway.

I’ve threatened it, but not pulled the trigger. Let me know when you move on to the next obsession so you can sell me all your old shit.

Sky, I really don’t know how that may equate to flyfishing for bream, but it’s a hoot for me.....of course, down here the bull bream always seem to bed under a lot of over-hanging limbs, and I tend to lose a lot of popping bugs. ;)

Looks like some darn pretty country you're in.

Big Muddy: I've heard that hunting bream that way is a lot of fun. Always meant to give it a go sometime.

WARNING: A flyrod and a bed of bluegills can be a dangerous cocktail. It can drastically cut into afternoon naps, coffee with the boys at the local chapter of the DPC and result in multiple L. gibbosus stab wounds on an almost daily basis. It is also an addiction that will dominate social interaction and can lead to being ostracized by all but fellow junkies.

This is a personal service announcement

BBP, that's funny and you never know that may happen if we both live long enough. :D

I only thought of that because just the other day I was scratching my head I wondering who I could gift my old bow hunting stuff to. I actually don’t know anybody who shoots anything but crossbows any more.

Is it a compound or recurve bow? My oldest son is wanting to get into archery but I sold all my stuff years ago.

Damn P-hole, you just reminded me. I have a brand new compound bow I bought and have never used. Well, except for sighting it in at the Bass Pro indoor range when I purchased it. I don't even remember what it is, but it was one of (if not the) top of the line bows at the time. Business and health issues got in the way after I bought it and it's been in it's (also new) case ever since. Not to mention about 2-truck loads of arrows, broad heads, etc, etc, etc. Crap, I sold my crossbow years ago and totally forgot about the compound. :slaphead

Captain, it might be relaxing for some folks, but since I still pretty much suck at casting it has become an effective way for me to brush up on my sailor language. ;)

Sky, that bow is a PSE Mohave. If you have someone who can use it, I’ll see what it’ll cost to ship and you can have it. That goes for anyone else that might have a need.
I’m not interested in giving it away so somebody can sell it and make a buck. Only to kill a buck.
