I have have/had a friend clear back to diaper-days.. ;) we both got on FB about the same time.. Occasionally we'd end up at the local watering hole. If one of us was there and the other not - we'd drop a note on FB.. something like.. "I was there - you weren't - Bear says, "Hi". Lost him 6-7 years ago. A note will pop up in "memories" every couple weeks.. If there's a Hooters where he is - he's supposed to be saving me a stool.. ;)
