Is there a way to re-juve velcro? Birddog and I have the same truck be covers and I think we got them around the same time. I know I bought mine in 2000 and Bwana is who recommended it. Its been awesome except now the velcro is getting weak and it'll get air under it. that causes it to stretch and I'm afraid it's on its last days. Just wondering if there's any way to rejuvenate that stuff.

Nope ... but it seems to be readily available. I think Wallyworld might have it, don't remember where I saw it.

I will have to look at mine. I don't know if its dirty or if the knap on it has just wore down to the nubs. I hate to have to replace this cover and the rest of it is in fine shape.

Yep. I just did a net search and it appears that "Grip Clean" is at K-Mart and Hancock Fabrics ... prolly elsewhere, but I quit looking.

Stumbled on another one but I'm thinking these things are pretty small for a large job like that.

I'm thinking more like a wire type dog brush for the hook & loop part ... it's what I use around here and it works pretty well. I use duct tape on the fuzzy part ... apply the tape and pull it back off.

Take it to a canvas company and have new stuff sewn in..

If you have a dog grooming brush, like this one, you can get the stuff off the Velcro.
I use mine all the time to pull hair and stuff off my ankle brave that has Velcro strap on it.

BBP, Cappy is probably on the right track as it is likely simply worn out rather then just being dirty. That being said, you can do as he said but you might want to contact the company to see if they will repair or replace it cheaper then what a tarp place would charge.

Here is their web-address:
