It’s been 34 years since the space shuttle Challenger explosion. It hardly seems possible it has been that long. I honestly can’t remember where I was when I watched it, but I saw it on this very broadcast.

You know, that's odd. I normally watched the shuttle launches from my pool deck, but for the life of me, I can't remember where I was or what I was doing when the Challenger blew up. Now, Columbia, I remember well. I was by the pool waiting for it to fly over the house on it's way to the Cape. I loved those big ol' double sonic booms! Well, it never came over and I was perplexed. Then I went back into the house and it was all over the news that we'd "lost" her.

I was a freshman in college. Remember coming back to the dorm to find oodles of people crammed around out little TV.

I was a Junior in high school. A friend of mine came into the cafeteria and told me that the shuttle had just blown up. The rest of the day there were TV’s on A/V carts in every classroom.

I went home sick from school and was laying on my grandmas couch, watching live.

You want me to believe you were at the library? You must have been in Audio Visual.

What do you mean Posthole? I was surprised when he said "grade school." Surely you are older than that Hombre. ;)

I didn’t know Hombre in grammar school, but from knowing him in the 25 or so years since, if hecwas in the library it was for detention.
