I'm sure I can put a big dent in it, but not sure I'll be able to finish it. I WILL try though!

I made reservations for a fancy-schmancy Japanese joint for the two of us on Saturday night. I'm not sure what she will order, but man-o-man, my mouth is watering just thinking about it. I think I might have to ditch my flip-flops and wear my tennis shoes though. :(

I have faith in your ability to make that bait platter disappear buddy.

I could catch a lot of fish with that plate of bait.

Yeah, my order would not be that big. It's a pic I pulled off their website. ;)

Our reservation is for tomorrow night. I don't think Lynn will be ordering sushi, so I'l probably have a smaller order than what's shown above ... you know, like 10 or 12 fewer pieces. :D

Morimoto's is good stuff. If you get down to Miami try Nobu, if you like Mori's you'll like Nobu too.

Been to Nobu a couple of times Hombre. Yessir, no complaints here! :D

Have you been there recently? (last 5 years or so?) It used to be at the Shore Club, but moved to the Eden Roc Hotel, making it the Nobu Hotel.

This will be our first visit to Morimoto.

Not to be stereotypical, but Mori’s sounds like a jewish sushi bar. Sure it isn’t Maury’s

Well, it's all over and was a great meal. The Wagyu Beef was a "bargain" at only $28/oz with a 3-oz. minimum order! Bargain, you ask? Well, it's $38/oz. at Nobu!

We ordered 4 items, so now I have to start busting ass on eBay to pay for my sins. :crybaby

Our dinner .... (from the menu)

1) JAPANESE A5 WAGYU BEEF
Prepared tableside over ishiyaki grilling stone with sansho peppercorn sauce.
A5 is the highest quality given only to the finest certified beef from Japan.

2) MORIMOTO SPARE RIBS
Pork ribs, cilantro, hoisin sweet chili glaze. Half-Rack, (6-ribs)

3) SPIDER
Tempura soft shell crab, spicy mayo, cucumber, asparagus.

4) MORIMOTO "BURI-BOP"
Korean style yellowtail rice bowl, served in a hot clay pot, finished with egg yolk, prepared tableside.

I have pics, but for some reason, after an iOS update, I can only text images from my phone now. Weird. I may have to text them to Lynn's phone and have her email them back to me so I can save them on my p/c. No clue what's going on there. :(

Ha! And yeah, as stated above, that’s a bargain over Nobu! An A5 rating is the highest in the world. No higher rating exists. Don’t really have to cook it, just add a bit of heat and it’ll melt in your mouth. Most describe it as “buttery”. The waiter “cooked” it table side, essentially on a “hot rock”. ;)

At least you got your head on straight and had beef for supper instead of sticking your head in the bait bucket as planned.
