Ya'll know I'm not a holy-roller, but I do believe prayer works, not matter what your religious beliefs are.
Our churches down here are requesting everyone to participate, if you so desire, and it dang sure can't hurt.....set you cellphone alarm for 8:00 pm each night, then say a one minute prayer for our country, leaders, medical personnel, military, and anything or anyone else you can think of to help alleviate this virus situation.
That's all, just 60 seconds of our time each night from 8:00 to 8:01, spent in prayer, is all that is being asked of us.

Great idea. But some of us go by 1 Thessalonians 5:17. Not throwing monkey wrenches, your idea is good. But some of us have not stopped praying for a minute.

I didn't pooh-pooh the idea, man. Prayer is always good. But just saying that a one minute prayer isn't going to be listened to any more than the ones some of us send up pretty much non stop. NOW, if it gets more people involved in prayer, then that alone is a good thing. I was simply commenting that while this may egg some folks on to do something good......some folks do it all the time. That's all.
