I didn’t know about that part. I was just talking about his service to others.

I know, and I agree with you. I just had to throw the dig in for good measure. It's what I do. ;)

BTW ... we've been to his restaurant in Orlando (Disney). Pricey, (Taco - $18 each, bottled water - $8.00 each) but in line with the competition in that area. :hair

That’s like Wolfgang Puck. The only place I’ve been to one was in Vegas but it was basically okay food for a sky high price.

A day may come when the courage of Men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day.

An hour of wolves and shattered shields when the Age of Men comes crashing down, but it is not this day!

A day may come when I pay 8 bucks for a bottle of water or $18 for a burrito but it is not this day

This guy’s organization has served over two million free meals in over 100 American cities. Just during this pandemic. This is the guy that ought to get the Medal of Freedom.

Trump has nothing to do with it.

Unless he wants to take credit for this too.

Yep, been to quite a few of his places. The first time was in Beverly Hills (Spago) way back in the 80’s ... it was right down the street from where I worked at the time. Since that time, we’ve been to his places in Hawaii, Vegas and Orlando. Lynn likes it, but I’m with you, ok food for a lot of money. It just shows what a big name can do for ya’ imho.

Ha! Lynn is a foodie and if she’s home (especially now), one of the tv’s is tuned into a food channel of some sort 24/7, so I absorb a lot of names just by hearing the “background noise”. I knew Puck’s name from Spago in ‘88 (I think) as I believe that was his first restaurant and he spent a lot of time there. A lot of the Hollywood freaks hung out there also. With the business and area I was in, I rubbed elbows with them whether I wanted to or not.

His name sounds more like one of the Merry Men instead of a cook.

This Andres guy taught cooking physics at Harvard. I never knew there was such a thing.

I was just implying he was deserving recognition for his charitable deeds despite having a character flaw. I understand can't everyone be politically flawless like me and Bucky and Kribbs.

Of course Trump will take credit for it, as would have Obama, Bush 1&2, Reagan, Carter, Nixon and Clinton. That's the first rule of politics, take credit for all the good, shift the blame on everything else

Seriously tho, I do appreciate what he does, tough times bring out a persons true character.....................even if they are anti Trump

As most here know, I don’t cook. But as I was saying above, I’m exposed to a lot of cooking related stuff just because I’m surrounded by it. Until spending time around it, I never had a clue how much physics and chemistry come into play when it comes to cooking. Ironically, I was a physics/chemistry major in h/s and college, but I have absolutely no interest whatsoever when it comes to cooking. Now eating, that’s a whole ‘nuther story! ;)

Its fine. I know a percentage of that is tongue in cheek. Yesterday though wS the 25th anniversary of the OKC bombing. It was inspired by hatred.

But haters gotta hate!
