My stimulus check hit my bank sometime last night. This morning, we had to take a (stray) cat to the vet. $850 tab! 😩

Ok, hit me with the abuse. Go ahead, kick a man while he’s down. ☹️

You could have saved $849.98 with a nice 22 pill. :biggrin

It was suggested. Lynn nixed the idea. But sumpin’ tells me I’ll have a VERY nice dinner and maybe a bj for dessert tonight. (‘Course a nice restaurant and a hooker would’a been cheaper, but we’re under stay-at-home orders.) ;)

for some reason the words when hell freezes over and the devil has icicles in his beard comes to mind.

Ironic that this subject comes up, I was just sitting here contemplating how to lure a couple of "strays" over in a vacant yard where accidents are known to happen

We haven’t received ours but we got our state return just in time to pay for a coolant leak in our main AC unit.

Lynn got hers a couple weeks ago. The day after it hit the bank, I had to have some tree work done. They quoted me $1500 and I told them I had $1200 They took it. In one day, out the next. Now, mine hit the bank this morning and according to the vet, the cat is going into surgery at 11:30. The $$$ is flowing out as fast as it comes in. At least we’re supporting the local economy. :(

Ahhh....

Think I'll leave this one alone in case my better half ever discovers my online haunts. She's a sucker for stray animals as well.

Well, I really should elaborate .... actually she WAS a stray, but we took her in 4 years ago. She quickly became part of the family and is a total sweetheart. It would take something more devastating to "put her down".

On the way home from the vet, we passed a turtle trying to cross the busy (4-lane) road. Lynn whipped a u-turn, went back, hit the hazards, I jumped out, grabbed the turtle just before it stepped off the median, then carried it down to the lake (direction he was headed) and released it. Sheeesh, I saved TWO lives today! Just call me Super Hero. Heck, I may end up with a bj AND a boink tonight! ;)
